Kyra Miniturn Sedgwick has been known as a well-known American television and film actor for many years. She is well-known all over the world and especially in America because of her leading role in the TV series 'The Closer'. Sedgwick's interest in the arts, Broadway and acting began when she was just 12 years older. Sedgwick got her first introduction to Broadway by her mother. When she was of 16, Sedgwick received her first professional acting role on the show "Another World". She was interested in becoming an actor of a certain stature was the goal she was hoping to be. It began with tiny roles in television. First, her support role in the Tom Cruise film Born on the Fourth of July made her a star on the large screen. Sedgwick's popularity in this film was the reason she got roles in other films like "Heart and Souls, "Phenomenon," etc. The TV film titled 'Lemon Sky' where she met her actor husband Kevin Bacon and got married to him in the age of just 22. Sedgwick has left her mark on American TV through her easiness in acting. The Closer ran for 7 seasons and won her several awards including the Golden Globe.
